Travel Scholarships of $300

We offer a small number of need-based travel scholarships each year, depending on our budget. If your abstract has been selected for presentation as a talk or poster and you require financial assistance to attend the meeting, please review the guidelines below and apply.

GUIDELINES

1. Applicant must be listed as an author or co-author on the original submission of an accepted Presentation or Poster for NetBio SIG. The funded applicant must be the presenting author of the work.
2. Applicant must be registered in a degree program (undergraduate or graduate) or as a postdoctoral research fellow at an accredited educational institution at the time of the conference.
3. Applicant must be able to pay all expenses of attending the conference up front, including conference registration fee, travel, accommodations and meals. Travel Scholarships will be disbursed approximately 4-6 weeks after the conference .

HOW TO APPLY

Send an email to apico@gladstone.ucsf.edu specifying who the scholarship is for (remember, they need to be the presenting author of an accepted abstract). Feel free to include relevant details regarding need, such as distance to travel, costs and current funding situation.

NOTIFICATION

Only NetBio SIG organizing committee members will see and review applications. We will decide amongst ourselves and notify you directly and discretely. Your scholarship will not be posted on the web or mentioned at the meeting.
